She also sits behind the mic as host of the *Joyosity™ Podcast*, interviewing leaders and experts to help you restore the joy of work and create people-first, purpose-driven culture.

When not helping leaders, Jenn’s breezing through TSA PreCheck in her Frownies, quoting *Ted Lasso* to strangers, and dreaming life is a musical. She lives in St. Louis with her high school sweetheart, their four teens and 20-somethings, and a surly Russian Blue cat.

Don’t we want to know why we do what we do? People’s personalities are endlessly fascinating, but I also know it seems hard to get a handle on how we use personality knowledge to improve our lives. This is why Jenn Whitmer is here with us today.

Jenn, a serial lover of personality tools and initially full-rejector of the Enneagram, has 20+ years of experience leading groups from classrooms and schools to volunteer groups and corporate teams and — hardest of all — herself.

International speaker, consultant, and joy-bringer, she holds graduate certificates in music education, theology, and leadership along with a Master of Arts in communication and culture from Webster University, extended training in conflict resolution, and certification as an Enneagram coach. She asks big questions that lead to wild dreams and connected ideas and joyful flourishing.

Jenn lives in St. Louis, Missouri, with her high school sweetheart and husband of nearly 30 years, Michael, their four teenage kids, and a surly cat that allows them all to live in the house. She felt it was really important for me to share three things with you:

  1. She really just wants her life to be a musical.
  2. Ted Lasso might just be the most perfect show.
  3. She is a loud laugher…so join in.

So get ready! Let’s welcome, Jenn Whitmer.
Isn’t miscommunication the worst? Don’t we all feel the push/pull of conflict? Or feeling that heaviness of the Sunday Scaries because work is no longer fun (or was it ever?) I personally don’t like any of that. And I want to get better at communicating better and creating a workplace where everyone wants to come to work. This is why Jenn Whitmer is here with us today.

AV Requests

  • I use a laptop (MacBook Pro) and a remote control I bring with me. I have my own VGA and HDMI adapters, just in case. I prefer to run my slides from my own computer, if that works for you.

  • If we need to use a technician’s computer (or to run it from the booth), I am happy to send you a link to the slide deck that is available online. (To avoid font and formatting issues, all of my slide decks are available online via a private link and log-in.) If you are running the show, please then also provide a remote for managing the slides from the stage.

  • If I will be running the computer/slides from the stage, AC power should be within six feet of the computer and the laptop must be set up within a reasonable distance of where I’ll be standing.

  • If the slides are running from the booth, please provide a confidence monitor with a speaker view of the presentation.

  • If sound output or external video is required, I’ll confirm this with you. (If you’d like this information before our 2-week out check-in, just send an email.)

  • Mic Preference: For groups of more than 25 people, my preference is to use a lavalier or countryman microphone, though I’m very comfortable with handheld if that’s what you’ve got.

  • Tech Check: It will be important to me to connect with your tech team to introduce myself and ensure they have everything they need to have a successful experience.
