How do I trust myself to lead? How do I shake this imposter syndrome? Surely there is something better than muscling through.
Suddenly, I was crying with my business coach. Right there on the Zoom with my entire cohort, tears spilled over my lashes.
My coach was walking me through reviewing a mixed, but exciting month in my business. The tears came when he asked where else was I seeing mixed feelings. Suddenly, the looming decision about pandemic school choices for our youngest came bubbling up and down my cheeks.
I hadn’t realized how much this was hiding in the crevices of my mind.
He reminded me: Leadership is a personal development course. What’s happening in our business is also reflected somewhere else in our lives.
I immediately went to the motivations of my Enneagram type. And over the next few days walked through a process of deeper self-discovery using my Enneagram story. I didn’t have to just muscle through. And just “have confidence” while still thinking I’m an imposter.
What’s happening in our business is also reflected somewhere else in our lives.
I could actually get to the root.
I could adjust my mindset because I discovered the lie I was believing deep down. We made the school decision with wisdom and launched an amazing next month in my business.
